PORTS IN MOTION

Ports in Motion is a film-production of Juister Imaginairies. It is a short movie following the principle of the golden cut about life, work, human effort and dynamics in the harbour of Zeeland. The four Greek elements of water, air, earth and fire play a central role both in the movements of the two dancers as well as in the activities in the harbour.

In this movie the choreography plays a central role as a vehicle to express these dynamics in combination with the four Greek elements. Two dancers provoke gravity in their confrontation with water, fire, earth and air. They walk on water, mock gravity and tempt fire and earth. All this - in combination with a fluent stream of images - is directly related to the activities in the harbour.

In this mythical way of presentation an originally powerful product is created by the makers of this movie. The golden cut (proportina divina) is the leading principle in music and editing.
